"I know it may seem small land insignificant, but it's not about what it is, it's about waht it can become." ~ The Once-ler, Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
What can one person do? More than many think is possible.
Just ask the Lorax as he looked up to the Onceler. Or, of course, we could make this real.
History is full of stories of people who decided that it was their time to stand up, speak out and push back. Mahatma Gandhi. Nelson Mandela. Martin Luther King Jr. Rosa Parks. Malala Yousafzai. Emma Gonzalez.
And we haven’t even scratched the surface with this list.
You see, positive change happens only when an individual takes a stand. When one person says “I won’t tolerate this.” Soon, others join in. A movement is born.
If we agree that we need change, then we also agree that each and every one of us needs to play a role in making said change happen.
We, each of us, carries the light to drive out darkness. We, each of us, have all it takes to make things better. Do you care a whole awful not? Then join us. Together, we’re stronger and change will happen.
